What is flippancy in context with Linkin Park?

There is a discussion in Germans message boards about. It´s about flippancy. The people criticize other people for criticizing flippancy peoply.
In a way I agree with them, because I accept people and their opinion do not like Linkin Park. And because of this fact, they don´t want to know about Linkin Park. This is clear, isn´t it?
I wanted to try an experiment: How much flippancy are we?
So I set the rules. I said, that everyone suggest a famousness, ask other people what do they think about it and then explain, what´s cool on it, or something like that.
Well, it´s a complicated game. The results aren´t understandable for everyone.
So someone freaks out about Linkin Park. He was asking hisself what is the context about Linkin Park and flippancy.
I tried to explain...
But it is not excepted that a fan can talk about Linkin Park as he knows Linkin Parks privacy.

Well, I think I said that I don´t talk about anyones private life, but I talk about works.
I can say, I know this work, I can say something about this work, I can say what it is about, for what and something else.
It´s all the same: It´s doting to talk about this, because it´s doting to think there is a connection to flippancy and therefore Linkin Park is absolutely bull shit.
I said that this person already knows about what I was trying to accomplish.
The result is, that this person is really ignorant. He didn´t want to understand, so he is really flippancy.
And I accept that.
I´m ignorant to, because I don´t like his favorite nonfamous band.
And I like this fact, because if I try to know all the things in the world, I wouldn´t have any concentration for the important things. The things I like.
